MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Overview

  • The formal structured mentorship programme was started a few years earlier, to enable constructive interaction and guidance of the students.
  • Mentor-mentee meetings are held to facilitate rapport building and needs identification. It allows students to approach their faculty mentors throughout the year with any concern or matter that needs to be shared.

AIM

The aim of a mentorship program for college students is to provide structured support and guidance that enhances their academic success, personal development, and career readiness. This is achieved through meaningful relationships with mentors who offer advice, share experiences, and serve as role models.

Objectives

  • Academic Support: Assist students in achieving their academic goals by providing study tips, time management strategies, and subject-specific guidance.
  • Career Preparation: Prepare students for the transition from college to the workforce by offering insights into career paths, industry trends, and professional networking opportunities.
  • Personal Development: Foster personal growth by promoting self-awareness, resilience, and interpersonal skills crucial for success in both academic and professional settings.

  • Monthly mentor – mentee meetings.
  • Student’s attendance review.
  • Review of performance in the examination
  • Understanding the academic needs of students.
  • Provide vent to non academic issues if any.
  • Compliance of the issues raised by mentees.
