Kinesiotherapy Lab

The Neurosciences Physiotherapy Department provides specialized care for patients diagnosed with various neurological disorders or diseases. This department is dedicated to addressing the unique challenges faced by individuals with conditions such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), brain injuries, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injuries, and stroke. Each of these conditions presents distinct rehabilitation needs, requiring a comprehensive approach to treatment.

Patients in this department commonly experience a range of impairments resulting from their neurological conditions. These impairments may affect vision, balance, ambulation (walking and movement), the ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs), and overall motor control. Additionally, many patients face difficulties with speech, movement coordination, and may struggle with the loss of functional independence, which impacts their quality of life.

Physiotherapists working in the neurosciences department focus on restoring mobility, strength, and coordination, while also helping patients regain the ability to perform essential tasks and maintain independence in daily life. Through targeted interventions, such as balance training, gait retraining, and functional task exercises, therapists aim to improve overall physical function and enhance neurological recovery. The department’s goal is not only to manage symptoms but also to help patients reach their highest potential for physical and functional recovery, promoting better quality of life and long-term well-being.
