Biography

Dr. Omeshree Meshram completed MPT in 2016 from RGUHS, Bangalore She is pursuing her PhD from Datta Meghe Institute of Health Sciences, Wardha 2024. Presently Working as a Head of department & Associate Professor in the Department of Electrotherapy at AIMS College of Physiotherapy, Dombivli. She has Over 7 years 7 months of academic experience specializing in Community Physiotherapy.

She has made significant contributions in both education and clinical service. During her tenure, she served as the academic coordinator for BPT students and played a crucial role in the accreditation process as In-charge of Criteria VI at MGM School of Physiotherapy for the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). She supervised numerous undergraduate research projects.

She continues her academic journey as the academic coordinator for first-year BPT students. Her teaching responsibilities include courses on Fundamentals of kinesiotherapy, Fundamentals of Electrotherapy, Community Physiotherapy and physical diagnosis for undergraduate students. She is life time professional member of Insc International Publisher

Her dedication to community physiotherapy is evident through her comprehensive involvement in clinical services, including Community Services- Primary health Centre, Old Age Home, NGOs, Specially Abled School, COVID ICU, COVID wards, and special wards, demonstrating her commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery through physiotherapy interventions. Her expertise and passion for teaching and research continue to shape the next generation of physiotherapists, ensuring they are well-prepared to address the evolving needs of community health.

    • She is currently the Academic Coordinator (BPT) program, HOD & Associate Professor in Electrotherapy Department, at AIMS College of Physiotherapy.
    • In terms of student training, she is actively involved in training of undergraduate students in courses of Electrotherapy, Kinesiology.
    • She has guided 6 Undergraduate students &10 Postgraduate students for their Research Project
    • She has been a resource person at following events-
      1. Training of physiotherapist in elderly care in India- Gaps & Opportunities. Organized by MGM School of physiotherapy Navi Mumbai on the occasion of WorldAlzheimer’s Day
      2. World Breast Feeding Week Organized by TMVs Lokmanya Tilak College of Physiotherapy,

      3. International Day of Elderly Organized by TMVs Lokmanya Tilak College of Physiotherapy,
      Navi Mumbai.
      4. As a speaker on topic Breastfeeding Position and ergonomics advice in breastfeeding week at AIMS College of Physiotherapy.

    • Awarded with Academic excellence award in year 2024 by Institute of Scholars.
    • She has secured 2nd rank in Paper 1(Principles of Physiotherapy Practice) and 3rd rank in Paper 3 (Physical & Functional Diagnosis) in the examinations conducted by RGUHS in the 2014-2015 academic year.
    • She has achieved 2nd rank in the Community Rehabilitation examination held in the 2015-2016 academic year.
